November Parent Tip

The heartbeat of Gary Kids pulses on Sunday mornings. We want kids to experience God’s love and build lasting relationships with Jesus all the time. We just talk about it a lot on Sundays.  Of course we don’t just talk about God’s love; we read about it in the Bible, and share it through our faith works. Gary Kids are rooted in word and service. We want kids to know that the Bible wasn’t merely something that happened long ago; its message impacts our lives, and its lessons inform our actions—today, tomorrow, and always. When you arrive at Gary Church with your children, please stop by the Gary Kids Hospitality Desk in the lower level commons where you will be greeted by one of our hospitality team members. Here you can register your children, if this is your first time visiting Gary, and/or sign in your children and pick up their name tag stickers. Please ask your children to wear their name tag.

Kids’ Church   

“For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them.”  Mathew 18:20

At 9:00 a.m. Kids’ Church, children Preschool 3–Grade 3, will gather together to encounter and respond to God through praise, prayer, and play.

 

Sunday School 

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 

At Gary Kids’ 10:00 a.m. Sunday School, children Preschool 3–Grade 5 will explore the Bible in age-appropriate, small group classes. This loving, interactive, hands-on time of learning will help kids nourish a life-long relationship with Jesus and grow in God’s love.

Helping Hands Mission 

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and love your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27

At Gary Church, we believe that loving God and our neighbor is active and generative. That’s why, one Sunday a month, children ages Preschool 3–Grade 5 will use their helping hands to serve our local, national, and global neighbors in a variety of meaningful mission projects.
